Jaclyn Hogan, Professional Counselor Associate

My Therapeutic Approach

Every individual deserves the opportunity to realize their full potential and receive grace along this journey. I believe in the ability for each person to learn or relearn the tools and skills necessary to live their life healthy and whole, even when enduring difficulties. Whether you are experiencing a current stress, navigating the aftermath of a trauma, or still wrestling with a past conflict, I would consider it an honor to help you process and begin the journey to wholeness. Life can be messy and complicated for everyone, you are not alone!

I work with individuals and couples in an open and safe space, operating through talk therapy and utilizing applicable therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Brief Solution-Focused Theory, and Dialectal Behavior Therapy. Just as each individual is unique, I work to tailor the therapeutic process to work best for each client/couple.

About Me

I was born in Alabama and have lived in several states, ending up in North Carolina for my teenage years. I completed my undergrad in Salisbury, North Carolina in 2012, then began my graduate program online with Grand Canyon University in 2015,  and moved to Oregon in 2015 when my husband accepted an opportunity to open a business in his hometown of Hillsboro, Oregon.

We love our community and have built several strong friendships. I am the mother of three young girls, and look forward to continuing to build our home here in the wondrous Pacific Northwest.

I thoroughly enjoy the creative arts-writing, music, dancing, and painting. I also enjoy employing them in therapy when appropriate. Taking time to practice self-care is very important to me, which means I take time to dance with my daughters, sing at the top of my lungs, read a good book, go on family walks, and play board games with my husband.

Currently accepting new clients for both in person and telehealth sessions!

Please reach out if you have any further questions.
